Film and Media Production - admission requirements

Applications to the Film and Media Production concentration are evaluated each semester.

We are currently revising this process to be entirely online and will be introducing a new admissions procedure before the Fall 2020 semester.

The application process will include:

  • an academic record review to ensure that minimum GPA and course requirements have been met
  • faculty review of a portfolio submitted by the applicant, including a personal essay, critical essay, creative sample, and letter of recommendation
  • an interview with at least one film faculty member
  • an appointment with an adviser or faculty member about course selection for the upper division

It is our goal to accept all students who meet the admissions requirements and successfully complete the application process.  However, because of limited resources or in the best interest of the student, some students may be admitted provisionally or be asked to re-apply in future semesters.

Complete application procedures for the Fall 2020 applications will be available by the beginning of the Fall 2020 semester.  If you have any questions, please contact Professor Jason Davids Scott (jdscott7@asu.edu) or an academic adviser.
